As you know, the Mayor recently signed our legislation to close and repurpose the Atlanta jail through a community-led Design Taskforce. Though we still have a long road ahead, we're taking time to celebrate our major victory this month with TWO events!

COMMUNITIES OVER CAGES COOKOUT Saturday, June 22nd 11:00am - 2:00pm Rosa Burney Park, 477 Windsor Street

First, join us as we march in the Juneteenth parade this Saturday, June 15th and celebrate 400 years of Black ancestry in the United States and our role in the abolitionist movement to de-carcerate Atlanta! Then, join us for our Communities Over Cages Cookout on Saturday, June 22nd as we celebrate our historic victory!
