The Reimagine Atlanta City Detention Center (ACDC) Taskforce is the 25 member body convened to lay the foundation to shutter and transform the extra city jail. The taskforce has representation from many members of our campaign, including formerly-incarcerated women, queer and TGNC people, and immigrants.
We need YOU to show up to support these Taskforce members and hold the city accountable to a transparent community process and to ensure the extra city jail is transformed into a Center for Wellness & Freedom that will truly benefit the communities most harmed by the jail's operation. The meetings are open to the public and community members can submit comment cards, as well as talk with members before and after the meeting.
The Reimagine ACDC Taskforce has announced its meeting schedule through February 2020. There are just 3 taskforce meetings remaining to reimagine ACDC!
